i have a 1000 sqft of wood that has partial staining on it and customer doesn't want to restain. How should I clean this. 3% sh mix then treat with oxcialic Clem back with wood restore for a UV treatment? Any help would be nice as I need to give customer the quote asap. The tricky part is the decks are 3 stories and access is very hard.
looks like ipe or similar hard surface deck. 1/2% to 1% wood wash. You may have to scrub with deck brush. Rinse well and then Wood Restore. We did one where homeowner had sealed and it was a pain. In future demo a section with a pump sprayer so homeowner can see results.

If they don't restain, it will still have that different color look. Just the dark areas will look lighter. The reddish tones are coming from a previous stain/seal. It won't look uniform unless they do a restain/seal afterward.

That is exactly what I told the client that he should reseal but the problem is the wife doesn't like the smell when the laid the stain down so the only other suggestions I came up with is the sand it and treat with wood restore if that's possible.

Chris, Ipe is as tough to sand as it is to drill. "Ironwood" is the local nickname.
Let us know how it goes.
