HI Guys, I have a nice house that has a pretty good oxidation problem on the siding. Take a look and let me know what you guys think may be able to help. Oxi wash?? Extra Green Wash??? It doesn't show very good in the pics but there are white zebra stripes on the house. The siding has oxidation the comes off when you rub your finger on it as well. Not sure if there is anything I can do to help.
Some of that looks like oxidation and also looks like stud striping, from the interior framing. Most likely due to improper or no tyvek house wrap.

I agree. that's a structural problem more than oxidation.

You have more heat transferring through the studs than the insulated wall cavity. I think that is why it is lighter over the studs. You are fine structurally. I don't try to clean oxidized siding. We just use very weak mix to remove any dirt. The oxidation will return. The only real fix is to paint.
