Client has a porte cochere with stainless steel overhead. It is streaked / stained. Will SH dull/damage polished stainless steel? Would F9 rust remover be a better starting place? Need some suggestions please.

J Racenstein has Diamond Magic which is used for hard water stains on glass and it also works on aluminum and stainless steel.

Hey Jeff, something I've used on stainless steel is Bar Keepers Friend. It has worked very well for me and doesn't take much effort. It should take care of the streaking and rust. Not sure what SH would do to polished SS.

try to use our trade specific products. They are less likely to have their maintenance guy to try and clean it.

Thanks guys. I put in a proposal for the job. 2 days billing. Will try the oxiwash first, then onto the polish.
Will post some pics & results

I wouldn't put a bid in until I found out which way to clean it. I would set up a demo time then put the bid in.

Good advice Mike. I tried the Diamond Magic & some basic stainless steel polish. The Diamond Magic removed the streaks, and the polish, well, gave a shine. Now I just need to manage the job done in 2 shifts.

I have not, however, tried the oxiwash. Curious to see if it removes the streaks easily as the Diamond Magic did

Good point, Tim. In that case I'm curious to see what 'trade specific' product does the trick.

Oxi Wash likely will not give the deep restoritive clean that Diamond Magic did however..... I have not tried Oxi Wash on SS so please give us a report when you try it.
