Patrick,
I just read your post about your mother - in law and my heart goes out to you, your wife and family and friends. My wife and I would be happy to pray for Justine and your family. I know prayers help, and wish I could do something more.

Thank you everyone. I can't tell you how much your prayers have helped. We got word this morning that the leukemia is non differentiated AML. This has a much higher survival rate than we were told yesterday. We are praising God for the good news. Please pray she makes it through this first round of chemo. Starts tomorrow and goes for 7 days.

Awesome Pat! I'm so glad to hear this! Chemo is no fun, but a necessary evil. My mom is a cancer survivor of 11+ years, and a good friend of mine at the office is as well for about 7 years and counting. When he lost his hair a lot of the coworkers shaved their heads to be bald with him. Attitude, support and a bit of silliness will pull her through this. If she needs a laugh break or just a diversion for her mind, Jeff Dunham or Gabriel Iglesias are about the best diversions I can think of. God's pretty awesome!

Hi Patrick,
I am happy to hear the better news regarding the report. Keep remembering though that God's Word asks, "...who's report shall we believe?" In other words, the report of the world (or doctors) or the report of The Lord? (The Great Physician)?
Isaiah 53 states that His report says that your mom's healing has already been purchased by "the stripes on His back"!! "..and with his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5b) Also in 2 Peter 2:24 the Word clearly states, "...By his wounds you have been healed". Please notice that neither of these passages refer to "the future"!! If the Lord states you "is healed" then brother, you is healed!! Therefore, the Lord has already declared that your mom has been healed. As humans, residing in the world, it's difficult for us to walk in our healing, especially when we can't FEEL the healing yet. However, we are taught in the Word to "walk by faith and not by sight (or feeling).
Matthew 16 also says that one of the signs that will follow believers is that "..they shall lay hands on the sick and the sick shall recover." So, start and continue to lay your right hand upon your mother, Patrick, and speak aloud and persistently over her "In Jesus powerful name, by His stripes you ARE HEALED"!! Remember to include the words, In Jesus' name! There is TREMENDOUS spiritual power in having "faith in Jesus' NAME"!!!! I just watched a teaching by Perry Stone on this and it is so true, Patrick.
We are all looking forward to hearing an awesome praise report coming soon on how mightily God has worked in the situation your mom is walking through right now.
