Has anyone tried to clean Red Wood Siding? I know red wood is soft, touchy and very expensive so I don't want to be buy a house. The siding is about 12 yrs old and is in excellent condition but has never been treated. It is starting to show darkening. I would like to not take any pressure to it at all for fear of chewing it up. Can anyone recommend a product or procedure?

I've only cleaned painted redwood. If I was doing I would go with a very light mix - 1% max. Just rinse well. I would slightly pre-wet the wood first then clean. Just clean a section behind some bushes as a test area first if you are unsure

Thanks Tim. That is what i thought. I might even go 1/2% and work up. Let it dwell more.

We clean my father in laws house every year for the last couple. He has natural redwood siding, that has been on for 26 year. It comes out great! 1% mix and rinse a lot.
