This is a big thank you for all the guidance you guys offer: Especially the following: Brandon did an incredible job on my logo work. With AC's help, my website is up & running. Equipment from the PowerWashStore is operational now (working up to AC's system), Truck has basic lettering now and already received my first request for an estimate. From that lead, I discovered a high-end neighborhood $400-500 K homes, with 2/3's of the roofs that need cleaning (laminated shingles). Immediately did a Every Door Direct mail by the Post Office to that neighborhood. Initial lead has signed for service ($825), received a call the next day after my mailing for an estimate, they signed within 48 hrs ($1,350) and just got a call last night from the HOA President, they want a price for the club/pool house roofs. Offered him a "Host Home" discount of 50% for the opportunity for add'l advertising to the HOA - members, which he agreed to. Going out this AM to estimate.
Getting ready to post before & after shot soon.
Thanks to Brandon for the logo work...and how do you say thanks to AC and all of the guidance he brings to the table!
Also...Completed my Lead Tech training with Patrick's crew in the Carolina's. Nice to see AC's product in action!
Trying to maximize the last few weeks of the season!

That is great Gary, will all post offices do that direct mailer if you want them to, and is there a cost?

Wow, I really like that site. I was unaware of this option for a mailer. I am going to use this for sure come spring. How big is a Flat

Yes, It's a National program. You can choose which mail route specifically you want to target. You don't need address or names. But everyone on that specific route will get your Flat. This route had 515 homes on it, it cost me $82 bucks, and they were delivered the day after I dropped it off at the Post Office. That's $.16 for postage & the printing for a Flat is about $.01 based on a printing of 5,000 pcs. You just print them, stack them in bundles of 50 or 100, fill out a form, pay for it on-line or at the Post Office, and take them to the PO that services that neighborhood.
My personal time is valuable to me at this time. This I can do late at night...in my PJ's.

Have you had good success with it? What % return have you gotten?
We get anywhere from a. 05 to 1 % return rate. It all depends on the timing of the mailing and also you need to hit the areas at least 3 or more times

Good thread. I've been told in the past to look into this, but it kept getting overlooked. I saved that link Zach...thanks.
Gary, is the .01 per piece printing an accurate cost? You are printing 5000 pieces for $50.00....or am missing something?

Gary good Luck !
Try to go to the local car wash and hang a sign there. Thats what I did and my sales have jumped. The car wash by me is about 8,000 to 9,000 weekly washes.
I started door hangers following up with check it out flyers. But when I put a sign up at my local car wash the phone was going crazy! But the hangers work 100% (think out side the box) try shopping carts put an ad in the basket.

You are going to tear it up there big time. Work with AC to get your office set up properly. By March you will need a 2nd truck. There are a lot of northerners that moved there over the years, and they still aren't used to how cheap homes are and are willing to pay good money for great service. Make sure you use asktheseal.com I have a lot of friends that transfered there with me in 1996 as well as some that that are working at Georgia Pacific HQ and I could probably forward your info
Great cleaning job Gary! Nice prices too, great way to get going! My wife worked in advertising several years ago and had never heard of this mass mailing through the post office. You used to have to go and buy bulk addresses. I guess the USPS had to dig deep to make up for lost revenue when more and more people started e-mailing versus snail-mail, and texting and calling.
